Diggers hotline... duh.
why irrigation contractors find the need to install new irrigation systems (especially in beds and shrubs) right up at the grass line?
case in point.
we did a large prunning and mulch job last week. place is 9 acres and ALL irrigated including beds and tree rings and lawn area. we did just over 4800 feet of power edging taking at only 6 sprinkler heads along the way cause they were hidden by long grass.
back to my point.
why can't you guys install the heads and lines 6 - 12 inches farther in? i am like WTF???
Diggers hotline... duh.
Wouldn't even need 6-12". 1-2" should help.
may the were installed several inches inside of the bed line but years of not properly edging the bed caused the edge to creep and recapture the heads....

i have several props where the heads are literally right against the sidewalk, so they get hammered when edging. as i have to replace them, i move them an inch or so farther in, but you have to take into account the spray zone/pattern. if i moved them in a foot, there would be a one foot wide strip of dead grass at those props.
